The tread pattern is more open compared to Maxxis' other race tyres for better self-cleaning on wet surfaces. Wide-notched centre studs brake impressively on slippery single trails. The Forekaster makes you perfectly equipped for trails in all weather conditions.

Note from the manufacturer:
Maxxis strongly advises against the use of ammonia-based sealant. Ammonia has been proven to attack the carcass and can weaken it by up to 30% after only a few months, depending on the amount used.
Maxxis recommends using Tire Plasma.

For the Dual Compound, two different rubber compounds are processed into one tread strip. The arrangement of the compounds is planned individually according to the desired properties of Maxxis tyres.

EXO Protection
This extremely cut and abrasion resistant material protects the sidewalls of various Maxxis MTB tyres. It is very tightly woven, light and very flexible. As a result, the performance of the tyres remains convincingly good.
